Description

A very fine Ilkhanate (Mongol) incense burner, In the form of a classic tripod cauldron with four flanges. This form of cauldron was often originating from Dagestan. On one side rests a Mouflon standing on its hind quarters the front legs resting on the rim. A very fine example, beautifully cast in exceptional condition.

Origin:

 Ilkhanid / Ilkhanate Culture, Circa 13th Century A.D., Central Asia 

Dimensions:

 Height: 9.4 cm / Length: 15 cm / Width: 8 cm

Condition:

 Lovely smooth verdigris patina, in tact in good condition.
