A Luristan bronze wet-stone handle in Ibex form

A Luristan bronze wet-stone handle in Ibex form. Beautifully caste, the horns projecting form the head and re-joining on the back of the neck, nice detail of the legs tucked up under the front of the body. The stone lost in antiquity.

Circa 2nd to 1st Millennium B.C., Luristan / Western Iran

Dimensions:

Length: 12 cm / Width 8.5 cm

Condition:

Heavily oxidised, in good condition. This piece is yet to be mounted, the mount in the images was only used to help with photography.
