An Upper Indus Valley pectoral ornament fashioned from a large, flattish section of animal bone, the upper surface of the slightly convex form filled with a striking, incised figural design featuring a standing naked female holding an infant, flanked by two animated, genie-like figures, each holding a small, unidentified object up towards the female; at their feet are two further incised designs representing, on the right, an eagle, and on the left, a mongoose; at the head of the ornament are five drill holes for suspension, each surrounded by an incised, wheel-like design; the ornament is intact, the bone with a dry patina and signs of great age within the incised sections; the reverse has not been worked.
