Description

An early Bactrian grey schist compartmentalised bowl and lid.
The lid does not belong to the bowl and is incised with floral and linear motif. The bowl is divided into three compartments with a central hollow cylinder.
Some ancient loss evident; rejoined section on lid not belonging, with earth accretions evident.

Circa late 3rd to early 2nd millennium B.C. BMAC (Bactria-Margiana Archaeological Complex), Central Asia
