Description

A Bactrian bronze amulet. Highly stylised with both arms up-turned, the figure merges into a janus headed animal, resting atop two truncated vessels with horse figures projecting from the side. Surmounting the headdress is an enclosed loop, suggesting the object was designed to be suspended. This powerful object has strong associations with the mistress-of-animals motif.
