Rare Swat Valley bronze standing figurine of Durga

A finely cast figurine of Durga. Standing on a square stepped base the three remaining arms holding various attributes. Areas of remnant gold gilt decoration still present below the verdigris surface patina.

Circa 9th to 12th Century A.D., Swat Valley, North India

Dimensions:

Height: 9.5 cm / Width: 5 cm

Condition:

Surface wear and ancient loss, with an all over oxidised patina.
