Description

A 19th Century Tibetan wedding dowry chest. Wrapped in Yak leather and painted with snow lions of four surfaces surrounded by floral and vegetal motif, the front edges of the lid and box with classic embossed motif. The lid and edges of the wooden structure with iron bracing, iron hinges and lock.

Areas ow wear on the leather, showing extensive signs of use. In overall good condition.
