Description

A beautifully cast and gilt depiction of the god Rahu in wrathful form. The nine headed body surmounting a serpentine tale with large demon face on the belly. His four arms holding attributes including a bow and arrow, elephant headed sceptre and a coiled snake. Around his neck he wears a garland of severed heads, and on the reverse a cloak of flailed human skin. The figure rests on a triangular base with a frieze of tantric skulls running along the front surface.
