Description

A large fragmentary wooden Mummy mask belonging to a male due to the pigment used on the face. Belonging from the outer sarcophagus, wearing a dark elongated wig, the face carved naturistically. 

Ex: S. Kovar Collection, Collected in the 1930's.

 Late Period, 600to 300 B.C., Egypt

Condition:

Ancient loss evident caused by insect depredation, with muting of the pigments and age splits, in overall good condition. Presented on a wooden display mount.
